Associate Attorney – Bankruptcy and Commercial law
Boutique bankruptcy & business litigation firm seeking an experienced associate attorney to join its busy practice in Boca Raton, Florida.
$115,000.00 *commensurate upon experience

The ideal candidate will have one or more years experience with bankruptcy and commercial law, will have graduated in the top half of his or her class and completed at least one course in litigation, bankruptcy and commercial law.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Effectively counsel and advise clients in commercial bankruptcy and restructuring matters
- Review and evaluate rights and responsibilities under commercial loan documents
- Negotiate and document loan modifications and transactions
- Argue and defend motions to court.
- Perform discovery tasks and responsibilities including preparation of discovery requests, discovery responses, document review and electronic discovery management.
- Conduct legal research and prepare briefs.
Essential Skills:
- Experience with commercial bankruptcy, receivership and related insolvency proceedings
- Strong academics and analytical ability
- Ability to work well with other attorneys and clients in collaborative environment
- Ability to skillfully manage and prioritize multiple internal and external client demands, transactions and projects.
- Exemplary analytical, creative, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen with ability to inspire trust and confidence with senior attorneys and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of relevant experience.
- JD from a Florida accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
- State Bar of Florida member in good standing
- Completed at least one course in litigation
- Completed at least one course in bankruptcy
- Completed at least one course in commercial law
