The Associate Attorney will be responsible for overseeing real estate transactions, reviewing and drafting contracts, SBA government loans, conducting due diligence, and providing legal guidance to clients. The attorney will also be required to stay abreast of real estate laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide strategic advice to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Review and draft real estate transaction documents including purchase agreements, lease agreements, and financing agreements.
- Conduct due diligence on real estate properties, including title searches, property surveys, and zoning issues.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on real estate transactions and property issues.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of real estate transactions on behalf of clients.
- Research and stay updated on federal, state, and local real estate laws and regulations.
- Represent clients in real estate closings and other transactions.
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure seamless transactional processes.
- Assist in resolving real estate disputes and litigation when necessary.
- Handling SBA Loans
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admitted to the state bar.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing real estate law in a law firm or corporate legal department preferred
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions, contracts, and property law preferred
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in commercial real estate transactions preferred but not required
- Proficiency in real estate due diligence processes preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with real estate finance and lending practices preferred but not required.
