Paralegal – Docketing
The Docketing Paralegal needs to have an understanding of the pleading they are calendaring so strong litigation knowledge and experience is critical for this role.
Paralegal Docketing Job Duties:
- Managing files for litigation matters
- Intake and organization of voluminous production documents received from clients and opposing parties
- Preparing pleadings, discovery demands, discovery responses and other litigation documents at the request of the attorney
- Preparation of materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials to assist attorneys
- Ability to prioritize work load based on deadlines
- Communicate with attorneys to assist in all aspect of litigation
- Ability to meet billing requirements
Paralegal Docketing Requirements:
- 3 years minimum of litigation experience as a Paralegal.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, and other office staff in a professional manner
- Ability to interact with Court personnel, opposing counsel, and clients in a professional manner
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work as part of a team or individually
- Willingness to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook
- Advanced knowledge and successful experience in managing a full case load from inception to post-trial
- A self-starter with excellent verbal and written skills
