Boutique Construction law firm is hiring a paralegal for their Plantation, FL office. Qualified candidate must be a self-starter with critical thinking skills and significant litigation experience preferably including construction matters. Previous experience with eDiscovery (ESI) required. Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team. Strong organization skills and attention to detail are critical.
Job Duties:
- Reviewing, categorizing and analyzing records
- Organizing files, exhibits and documents for trials, mediations and depositions
- Assisting in the discovery process, preparing discovery requests and responses
- Drafting subpoenas
- Preparing deposition outlines
- Correspondence with clients and experts
Requirements:
- Multiple years of construction defect experience
- Professional in appearance and demeanor
- Paralegal Certificate and minimum three years preferred
- Electronic discovery experience
- Strong computer skills, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Florida General Statues and court procedures
