POSITION:  Receptionist – Temp-to-Hire

LOCATION:  Fort Lauderdale, Florida

ENVIRONMENT: Professional law firm

DESCRIPTION:  Our client, a boutique law firm with an office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida needs an experienced Receptionist to be their Director of First Impressions in a temporary to hire capacity.  This is a Monday – Friday work week and it is a full-time position and the hours are 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.  This is not a remote position and requires coming to the office daily.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer and route all incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system
  • Redirect calls to appropriate employee; take messages when required
  • Ensure reception area and conference room are neat and orderly
  • Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable
  • Answer general client inquiries, redirect as necessary
  • Process mail, scan and upload the mail into the Litigation Management System
  • Secretarial support such as scanning and photocopying
  • Perform other related receptionist and administrative duties as requested

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a law firm as a receptionist is highly desired
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Creole) is a big plus
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be extremely professional with a positive attitude
  • Excellent skills with MS Office (MS Word. MS Excel, etc.)
  • Comfortable with technology
