Paralegal Legal Assistant – Trust & Estate Planning Probate
A prestigious trusts and estates law firm seeks a legal assistant for their Coral Gables office with the following experience:
- 5 to 10 years of legal experience in trusts and estates preferred, but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in technology including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), Nitro/Adobe, transcription software and time management system
Job Duties:
- Work together with firm associates, attorneys, paralegals and legal secretaries to achieve smooth workflow for the attorney’s files
- Provide administrative support for multiple attorneys and paralegals including document revision, drafting correspondence, preparing documents for court and electronic filing
- Act as a witness and/or notary and manage document distribution and safekeeping
- Maintain attorney calendars and schedule meetings, phone calls, hearings and tasks
- Communicate by phone and email with clients, attorneys and other professionals as needed
- Input attorney time into billing software
- Organize and maintain digital client files
- Transcribe dictation
- Assist with office wide scanning of paper files ? Perform other related duties as assigned
