Paralegal – Plaintiff – Maritime Law
Well established, well regarded plaintiff's firm is seeking an experienced paralegal to join the team in their Hollywood, FL office. Must have personal injury or commercial litigation experience and Maritime is strongly preferred. Candidates must have federal court experience and excellent job stability to be considered. This firm has exceptional employee retention and rarely hires.
Paralegal Requirements and Qualifications
- 3-5 years litigation experience, in federal court, and know the process from beginning to end.
- History working in plaintiff litigation
- Proficiency with CM/ECF
- Be skilled at moving cases along with little attorney direction.
- Must be able to schedule and eFile.
- Experience requesting and reviewing medical records.
- Familiarity with preparation of various motions and pleadings.
- Experience with discovery and preparing for hearings, depos, mediations, and trial.
- Self-starter who is comfortable handling multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Also required: excellent written and verbal skills; proficiency with MS Office.
- Bilingual Spanish a big plus but not necessary
