Paralegal
Busy Criminal Defense/Plaintiff Personal Injury Firm has a direct hire position for a paralegal at their Palm Beach Gardens, Florida office.

The firm has a rare opening for a self-motivated paralegal with 2+ years of either civil litigation or criminal defense litigation. You will be hired to handl the criminal cases for the firm.
You will be joining a talented team of attorneys and other support members of the firm.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather, maintain, and review all case-related materials-taking ownership
- Draft pleadings, subpoenas, various motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Review and organize all discovery materials received
- Records request and management of materials received
- Schedule depositions and assist with preparation
- Assist the Attorney with trial and motion preparation
- Legal research upon request
- File documents using the Florida e-Filing Portal
- Calendaring and scheduling of court hearings, depositions, client meetings, and other events as needed
- Act as a liaison between opposing counsel, court, prosecutors, experts, and other parties related to the case
- Interaction with clients and maintaining a positive client relationship
- Assist with the intake process of potential new clients on an as-needed basis
- Manage case list and provide status updates for a weekly team meeting
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification or equivalent education/experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a paralegal in a criminal defense law firm or civil litigation experience with a high volume caseload.
- Ability to draft and prepare legal documents
- Extensive knowledge of the courts throughout South Florida
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Personal Injury experience is a plus but not required
Pay which will depend on experience $40,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
