Position: Litigation Paralegal – Construction Defect (Plaintiff-Side)
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 


About the Role

Our client, a prestigious boutique firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in construction defect or complex commercial litigation, preferably on the plaintiff side, to join their growing Fort Lauderdale office.

In this role, you will support attorneys in all phases of litigation, from intake through trial, involving claims related to construction defects, property damage, and disputes involving homeowner and condominium associations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of case management, including calendaring deadlines, managing dockets, and maintaining case files.

  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.

  • Coordinate and track discovery responses, document production, and depositions.

  • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness materials for hearings and trials.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel.

  • Conduct basic legal research and assist in summarizing case law and deposition transcripts.

  • Support attorneys in trial preparation and attendance when necessary.


Requirements:

  • 3–7 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in construction defect or commercial litigation.

  • Prior plaintiff-side or HOA/condominium litigation experience is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency with Florida court rules, electronic filing systems (e.g., ePortal), and calendaring software.

  • Strong drafting, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Paralegal Certificate or equivalent legal training preferred.
