Contract Attorney – Federal Bar – Litigation Practice
Firm Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Position Type: Long Term Contract, Part-Time, As-Needed (Hybrid/Remote)
A well-established small litigation firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Federally Barred Attorney to assist with litigation matters on an as-needed basis.
This flexible role is ideal for an experienced litigator who wants to contribute to complex and meaningful cases, and pick up some supplemental income and experience. Ideal for a solo with a light case load.
Practice Focus:
- Specialized niche practice, handling Class Action Defense Matters.
- Federal litigation, including complex class actions
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of litigation experience
- Must be Admitted to Federal Court
- Experience handling complex cases or class action litigation
- Independent, reliable, and resourceful problem-solver
- Background in consumer protection law is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Manage court filings, case deadlines, and litigation strategy
- Utilize strong working knowledge of state & federal consumer protection laws
- Stay current on legal developments and litigation trends
- Take on additional responsibilities as cases warrant
Work Arrangement:
- Hybrid strongly preferred (ability to work in Fort Lauderdale ideal)
- South Florida presence is preferred
