Contract Attorney – Federal Bar – Litigation Practice
Firm Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Position Type: Long Term Contract, Part-Time, As-Needed (Hybrid/Remote)

A well-established small litigation firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Federally Barred Attorney to assist with litigation matters on an as-needed basis.

This flexible role is ideal for an experienced litigator who wants to contribute to complex and meaningful cases, and pick up some supplemental income and experience. Ideal for a solo with a light case load.

Practice Focus:

  • Specialized niche practice, handling Class Action Defense Matters.
  • Federal litigation, including complex class actions

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of litigation experience
  • Must be Admitted to Federal Court
  • Experience handling complex cases or class action litigation
  • Independent, reliable, and resourceful problem-solver
  • Background in consumer protection law is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage court filings, case deadlines, and litigation strategy
  • Utilize strong working knowledge of state & federal consumer protection laws
  • Stay current on legal developments and litigation trends
  • Take on additional responsibilities as cases warrant

Work Arrangement:

  • Hybrid strongly preferred (ability to work in Fort Lauderdale ideal)
  • South Florida presence is preferred
