New opportunity for an experienced Trust & Estate Legal Assistant for a firm headquartered in Indian River County, Florida. This is an immediate opening for a highly skilled paralegal or legal assistant to work on Estate Planning documents and administrative work supporting Estate Planning attorneys and associates. This role may contain some probate work as well.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative and clerical support
- Setting up, organizing, and maintaining client matters
- Managing calendars and scheduling appointments
- Communicating professionally with clients and other professional offices
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail
- Preparing and sending monthly client billing
- Assisting with drafting initial estate planning documents
- Organizing large amounts of documentation and maintaining electronic files
- Supporting attorneys and team members with day-to-day matter coordination
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years of related experience in a law firm or other professional office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience using track changes, drafting correspondence, and formatting documents
- Experience compiling and organizing large amounts of documentation in Adobe Acrobat or a similar program
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
