Senior Litigation Attorney
Legal Search Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Senior Litigation Attorney with 6 or more years of litigation experience to join our growing client. The firm engages in high-stakes in the areas of business litigation, insurance defense, and construction, among others.
This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney who can work independently, manage complex cases from inception through resolution, and immediately step into a leadership role within the firm.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling complex litigation matters, preferably within commercial defect, insurance defense, or other sophisticated commercial litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through trial preparation and resolution
- Lead litigation strategy and oversee case management with support staff and junior attorneys
- Prepare comprehensive reporting and status updates to insurance carriers and clients
- Conduct analytical damages evaluations and liability assessments
- Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive motions
- Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions, including expert and corporate representative depositions
- Develop and execute case strategy in high-exposure and complex litigation matters
- Collaborate with team members while taking ownership of case progression and client communication
- Maintain monthly billable hour requirements of 185 hours
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the applicable state bar
- Minimum of 6 years of litigation experience
- Strong background in complex litigation or commercial litigation required
- Construction defect and/or insurance defense experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases from inception to close
- Significant experience handling hearings, mediations, and depositions
- Proven experience drafting substantive legal motions and litigation-related pleadings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and case management abilities
