Commercial Litigation Associate
Lawyer Job Summary
Legal Search Solutions is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join a leading litigating law firm in Fort Lauderdale. The firm engages in high-stakes matters in commercial litigation, probate, land development, and government relations. The individual in this role would be responsible for managing cases in complex commercial/ business litigation from inception to close. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in commercial litigation. Trial experience would be a plus, not required. The position is onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Lawyer Responsibilities
- Oversee litigation cases from initial investigation through resolution.
- Draft, review, and respond to substantive pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Assist with trial preparation and/or attend trial.
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
Lawyer Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar.
- 3-7 years of experience in complex commercial/ business litigation.
- Experience in complex business litigation.
- Stable career history.
- Experience preparing cases for trial, independent motion and discovery practice.
- Experience running cases from inception to close with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
