Associate Attorney (3–5 Years) – Insurance Defense / Maritime Litigation

Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney with approximately 3–5 years of experience to join its litigation practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking hands-on litigation experience in insurance defense and maritime matters. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced attorneys while handling a variety of litigation responsibilities and developing practical courtroom and case management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the handling of insurance defense and maritime litigation matters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses
  • Manage written discovery and document review
  • Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
  • Assist with trial preparation and case management

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of litigation experience
  • Florida Bar admission and good standing
  • Insurance defense experience preferred
  • Maritime or admiralty experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignments
