Plaintiff Workers’ Compensation Paralegal

A busy and well-established Plaintiff Workers’ Compensation law firm in Hollywood is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its team on a temp-to-hire basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working directly with injured workers, and can manage cases from intake through resolution with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Plaintiff Workers’ Compensation matters from inception through settlement
- Maintain regular communication with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
- Prepare and file petitions, motions, notices, and other Workers’ Compensation documents
- Coordinate medical records, authorizations, and treatment updates
- Schedule hearings, mediations, depositions, IMEs, and appointments
- Review and organize medical records and case files
- Monitor deadlines and maintain accurate calendaring
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, settlement packages, and hearing preparation
- Handle electronic filing and document management
- Provide exceptional client service and case support throughout the litigation process
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Plaintiff Workers’ Compensation Paralegal experience required
- Strong knowledge of Florida Workers’ Compensation procedures and terminology
- Experience managing files independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Strong attention to detail and client-service mindset
