Attorney – General Liability
A well-known litigation firm with multiple offices is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Liability Attorney to join its growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a variety of general liability matters and possess strong analytical, research, writing, and advocacy skills. This position offers the opportunity to manage cases through all phases of litigation, work closely with clients, and collaborate with a dynamic legal team.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of general liability matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents.
- Handle all aspects of discovery
- Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
- Develop case strategies and provide legal analysis and recommendations to clients.
- Prepare witnesses and assist with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Qualifications
- Active membership and good standing with the Florida Bar.
- 2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in general liability or insurance defense.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
- Experience attending mediations and handling hearings.
- Trial preparation and courtroom experience.
- Familiarity with case management software and litigation support tools.
