Pre-Litigation Medical Records Specialist

A well-established Plaintiff Personal Injury law firm in West Palm Beach is seeking a Pre-Litigation Medical Records Specialist to join its growing team in a temporary-to-hire capacity.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior law firm experience who enjoys organization, follow-through, and working behind the scenes to keep cases moving. The firm is looking for someone who wants to grow, as this position has the potential to develop into a Legal Assistant role over time.
Compensation:
- Temporary: $21.00-$24.00 per hour (W-2)
- Permanent: $25.00-$28.00 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Request, retrieve, and follow up on medical records and billing statements from healthcare providers
- Track outstanding record requests and ensure timely receipt of records
- Organize, review, and upload medical records into the firm’s case management system
- Maintain accurate documentation of requests, correspondence, and provider communications
- Communicate professionally with medical offices, clients, and internal staff
- Assist the pre-litigation team with case support and other administrative tasks as needed
- Help ensure files remain organized and up to date throughout the life of each case
Qualifications
- Previous law firm experience is required
- Prior Plaintiff Personal Injury experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with Arctrieval (medical records retrieval platform) is a plus, but not required. The firm is happy to train the right candidate.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
