High end, boutique law firm is seeking to hire an experienced probate paralegal for their Downtown Fort Lauderdale office. Candidates with strong experience in probate administration will be considered. Salary is expected to be in the $80-90k range but depends on experience, job stability, and previous salary history.
Job Duties:
- Prepare notices, waivers, petitions, etc.
- Preparation of inventories and retitling of assets
- Preparation of all pleadings for probate and trust administration
- Recording documents and deeds with courts, E-Filing
- Counsel clients and fiduciaries on the estate and trust administration process
- Handle dictation
- Billing – prepare invoices, create cover letters, and send out to clients
- Receive and execute beneficiary requests
- Edit and revise wills and other estate planning documents
- Maintain attorney calendar
- Client contact and communication
Qualifications:
- At least five years of probate administration experience
- Knowledge of IRS Forms such as gift tax (709) and estate tax (706) returns is a plus
- Experience working with financial institutions
- Litigation experience a big plus, at least eFiling and basic rules of procedure
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with MS Office products
- Good job stability
