Attorney – Construction Litigation
Lawyer Job Summary
We are seeking a competent and experienced attorney to join a growing boutique law firm in Miami. The individual in this role would be responsible for managing and compiling case files, adhering to court requirements and handling trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have a background in complex commercial and construction litigation. The position can be hybrid after the initial training period.
Lawyer Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and analyze construction agreements.
- Draft, review, and respond to substantive pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Assist with trial preparation and/or attend trial.
- Build trusting relationships with clients.
- Meet annual billable hour requirements and record time efficiently.
Lawyer Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar.
- Strong knowledge of construction, lien, and surety law preferred.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- 5+ years of trial experience and complex business litigation.
- Experience with construction litigation/ construction defects desired.
- Demonstrated knowledge of litigation cases from inception to trial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Trial experience is required.
Salary $175,000 to $200,000 plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits.
