First Party Property Insurance Defense Attorney
Location: Broward County, Florida
Position: Full-Time
A well-established South Florida law firm is seeking a First Party Property Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Broward County office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to handle a sophisticated caseload representing insurance carriers in first-party property disputes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage first-party property insurance defense cases from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and coverage-related legal documents.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance representatives, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Develop case strategy and work collaboratively with the litigation team.
Qualifications:
- Active member of The Florida Bar.
- 2+ years of first-party property insurance defense litigation experience preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
- Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload in a fast-paced environment.
