One of Orlando’s most respected law firms is currently seeking an experienced attorney to join their growing defense practice in Orlando, Florida. The individual in this role would be responsible for compiling and maintaining case files, adhering to court requirements, and acting as an advocate to our list of clients.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently with little to no micromanaging, with a background in insurance defense, personal injury and 1st / 3rd party litigation.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Legal research and writing
- Draft motions, orders, and a variety of pleadings and correspondence to clients, counsel, and the court
- Analyze and respond to discovery
- Represent clients in court hearings and trials; assist in preparation for trial; attend and conduct depositions of parties and non-parties; attend mediations; attend trials
- Handle cases from inception to close and provide frequent status updates to clients
- Adhere to company monthly billable requirements
Lawyer Requirements and Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to work autonomously with little to no micromanaging
- Skills of persuasion and negotiation
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong computer skills and competency
- Professional attitude and strong personal ethics
- Administrative and managerial experience preferred
- Minimum 3 year’s litigation experience in insurance defense, personal injury and or 1st / 3rd party casualty cases
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required in the state of Florida
