About the Opportunity
A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate, Probate & Trusts & Estates Attorney to join its expanding practice. This position offers the opportunity to work with individuals, families, and business clients on a diverse range of transactional and estate-related legal matters.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-focused, and capable of managing matters independently while collaborating with a supportive legal team.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, financing, and closings.
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, leases, deeds, easements, and other transactional documents.
- Handle probate administration from initiation through final distribution.
- Advise personal representatives, trustees, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries on estate and trust administration matters.
- Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other estate planning documents.
- Assist clients with trust funding, asset transfers, and title issues.
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, petitions, motions, and other court filings related to probate matters.
- Attend hearings, mediations, client meetings, and closings as needed.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing practical legal guidance.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management and exceptional client service.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Florida Bar.
- 3+ years of experience in real estate law, probate, trust administration, and/or estate planning.
- Experience handling residential and commercial real estate transactions.
- Knowledge of Florida probate and trust administration procedures.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Portable book of business is a plus but not required.
