Boutique Firm that practices primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, business transactions and aviation law, is searching for a mid-level associate to join their growing practice. The team is enterprising and supportive, and prides itself in providing high quality representation to its business and litigation clients. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in all or some of the firm’s practice areas and an ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively. Required Qualifications:
• Florida Bar license
• 2+ years of relevant experience in some or all of the firm’s practice areas • Strong writing and researching skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Creative and strategic thinker
• Proficient at analyzing and identifying legal issues
• Ability to prioritize projects
• Works well in collaboration with others
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Analyze and render opinions on complex areas of the law
• Analyze and interpret agreements
• Counsel clients on risk management, business transactions, and dispute resolution
• Manage litigation and arbitration matters from inception to end, including:
o Identify and implement legal strategy
o Draft pleadings
o Spearhead written discovery
o Conduct and defend depositions
o Work with experts in various fields
o Draft motions in a persuasive and succinct manner
o Attend hearings and argue motions, including dispositive motions
o Serve as second chair trial counsel
o Draft and argue post-judgment motions
