Construction Litigation Associate
We are representing a well-established construction law firm located near Coral Gables, Florida, with a robust construction litigation practice representing owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably with a focus on construction cases or a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will possess excellent legal research and writing skills and will be adept at handling construction matters through all stages of litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, manage cases independently, and contribute significantly to our team’s success. Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide effective legal representation.
- Independently manage a caseload, handling cases from inception to resolution.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings and discovery requests.
- Conduct court appearances, depositions, and handle various hearings.
- Draft and argue motions, and manage multiple short-term tasks effectively.
Requirements
- Experience in litigating construction cases or willingness to learn.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Experience in conducting and defending depositions and handling hearings, managing cases from inception to trial.
- Must be licensed to practice in the State of Florida and a member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
- Trial experience preferred but not required.
