Contract Family Law Attorney
Part-Time | Fully Remote | Florida-Based Candidates Preferred
A family law firm is seeking a Contract Attorney to join its team on a part-time basis. This opportunity is available due to the departure of a long-term team member and offers the flexibility of a fully remote work environment.
The firm is seeking an attorney who can confidently handle virtual court appearances and assist with ongoing family law matters. While prior family law experience is strongly preferred, the firm is open to candidates with litigation experience who are eager to learn and grow within the practice area.
Responsibilities
- Attend and handle Zoom hearings throughout Florida
- Assist with family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and related proceedings
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Support the firm’s attorneys with case management and litigation-related tasks
Qualifications
- Active member of The Florida Bar in good standing
- Prior family law experience preferred but not required
- Comfortable appearing at virtual hearings and managing court appearances independently
- Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills
- Organized, responsive, and able to work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable internet connection and home office setup
