A busy and well-established national law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Application Support Engineer to join its I.T. department in a temporary capacity.
This on-site role based in Boca Raton, FL supports the firm’s enterprise applications and internal software systems.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring optimal use of software tools across departments, with the opportunity for permanent placement based on performance and business needs.
Position Overview:
The Application Support Engineer provides support to end users in the efficient use of firm software, troubleshoots application issues, and contributes to training, testing, and implementation processes. The role also involves documenting technical procedures and assisting with application development and enhancement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Respond to and resolve application and software issues across departments

Evaluate and document user issues, trends, and resolutions

Develop and deliver training programs and user documentation

Assist with testing and implementation of software applications

Maintain and enhance application performance and user experience

Perform hands-on fixes including upgrades, patches, and installations

Coordinate application-related projects with internal teams and stakeholders

Research and recommend application improvements or alternatives

Maintain knowledge base and resources for end users

Provide support outside of normal working hours as required
Qualifications:
-
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or 5+ years of relevant work experience

Certification in Microsoft Azure is a strong advantage

Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise applications

Solid understanding of software troubleshooting methodologies

Knowledge of SQL and software development concepts

Experience in building and maintaining support databases

Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to users

Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain confidentiality
