Job Title: Legal Assistant / Claims Coordinator
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant / Claims Coordinator to join our law firm, which focuses on helping individuals obtain disability benefits from insurance companies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with daily tasks and case management
- Manage and maintain attorney calendars
- Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies
- Request, track, and organize medical records and related documentation
- Draft letters, review forms, and prepare case materials
- Follow up on outstanding tasks and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain accurate and organized digital files
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel to support case operations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the legal field or insurance industry
- Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to multitask and work independently with attention to detail
- Professional and courteous client service skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $47,500–$50,000
