Legal Search Solutions has partnered with a well-known regional law firm to find an experienced legal assistant for their Fort Lauderdale office. This role provides comprehensive administrative and litigation support to a team of attorneys while ensuring clients receive responsive, professional service. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of law firm operations, practice-specific procedures, legal technology, and the workflows associated with managing active cases and client matters. This position requires someone who can balance multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and maintain a high level of accuracy and organization.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with firm-wide departments in a mid- to large-sized law firm environment on tasks such as new matter intake, conflict checks, billing coordination, training, and records management.

Apply solid knowledge of procedural rules and use various e-filing platforms to file pleadings and documents in both State and Federal courts.

Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with strong attention to detail.

Track attorney, firm, and client expenses and use firm-approved software to submit reimbursements and payments.

Assist with the billing cycle, including entering time narratives, monitoring billable tasks, updating billing edits, managing due dates, and sending invoices electronically or in print.

Schedule State court hearings in compliance with individual court requirements.

Calculate and monitor deadlines based on applicable court rules to ensure the legal team remains compliant.

Coordinate client meetings and attorney appointments.

Support basic business development efforts, including helping plan or coordinate attorney events.

Maintain electronic and physical case files, ensuring materials are organized and up to date.

Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and general correspondence; answer, screen, and direct phone calls.

Deliver reliable, high-quality service to attorneys and clients.

Education & Experience

3–5 years of law firm experience required, preferably supporting litigation practices and handling both Federal and State court matters.
