Legal Search Solutions has partnered with a highly regarded regional law firm to identify a Family Law Legal Assistant for its Fort Lauderdale office.

The firm is seeking an experienced legal assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients navigating sensitive family law matters.
Position Overview
The Family Law Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys handling a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, equitable distribution, post-judgment proceedings, and related issues.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and format pleadings, motions, notices, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate and maintain attorney calendars, including hearings, mediations, depositions, and client meetings.
- Manage case files and ensure all documents are organized and maintained in accordance with firm procedures.
- Handle electronic filings through the Florida e-Portal and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third-party vendors.
- Assist with discovery coordination, document production, and trial preparation.
- Track deadlines and maintain accurate litigation calendars.
- Prepare hearing and mediation binders, exhibits, and other case materials.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of family law legal assistant experience required.
- Strong knowledge of Florida family law procedures and court rules.
- Experience with Florida e-filing and calendaring litigation deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active matters.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
Compensation & Work Environment
- Salary: $70,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience.
- Full-time position based in the firm's Fort Lauderdale office.
