Well established, regional law firm that specializes in insurance defense is looking to hire an experienced legal assistant to join their team.  Candidates with minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, specifically insurance defense, will be considered.  Position is in office in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Job Duties:

  • Preparing motions and notices and other legal documents
  • Calendaring court events and litigation deadlines
  • Scheduling with JAs and opposing counsel
  • eFiling (state court)
  • Managing correspondence
  • Trial/deposition prep
  • Assist with discovery
  • Tracking/entering attorney time

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually
  • Minimum 3 years litigation experience
