Legal Search Solutions has partnered with an established, well regarded regional law firm to identify an Estate Planning Legal Assistant/Paralegal for its expanding Estate Planning and Trust Administration practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal assistant who enjoys working closely with clients and attorneys in a sophisticated estate planning practice. The firm is seeking a highly organized professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional client service while ensuring accuracy throughout the estate planning process.

Position Overview

The Estate Planning Legal Assistant will support attorneys with the preparation and execution of estate planning documents while serving as a key point of contact for clients throughout the planning process. This role combines legal document preparation, client communication, and practice management responsibilities in a collaborative and growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, and proofread estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related documents.
  • Draft real estate deeds, beneficiary designation forms, and asset transfer documents to facilitate trust funding.
  • Assemble final estate planning portfolios and coordinate document execution meetings.
  • Serve as a witness and/or notary during document signings, as applicable.
  • Conduct client intake, schedule consultations, and assist with onboarding new clients.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, financial advisors, and other third parties.
  • Maintain organized electronic client files and ensure documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Track important deadlines and manage attorney calendars to ensure timely completion of client matters.
  • Provide general administrative and legal support to the Estate Planning and Trust Administration practice.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of estate planning experience, preferably with experience serving high net worth clients.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading and document preparation skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused demeanor.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management software.
  • Notary Public commission is a plus, or willingness to obtain one.
