Legal Assistant – Trust & Estates Planning 

A prestigious trusts and estates law firm seeks a legal assistant for their Coral Gables office with the following experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of legal experience in trusts and estates preferred, but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in technology including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), Nitro/Adobe, transcription software and time management system

Job Duties: 

  • Work together with firm associates, attorneys, paralegals and legal secretaries to achieve smooth workflow for the attorney’s files
  • Provide administrative support for multiple attorneys and paralegals including document revision, drafting correspondence, preparing documents for court and electronic filing
  • Act as a witness and/or notary and manage document distribution and safekeeping
  • Maintain attorney calendars and schedule meetings, phone calls, hearings and tasks
  • Communicate by phone and email with clients, attorneys and other professionals as needed
  • Input attorney time into billing software
  • Organize and maintain digital client files
  • Transcribe dictation
  • Assist with office wide scanning of paper files ? Perform other related duties as assigned
