Legal Billing Specialist (Clio Experience Required)

About the Role
MUST HAVE PRIOR LAW FIRM BILLING EXPERIENCE!!
We’re looking for an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join our legal team and manage the full billing cycle using Clio billing software. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate client invoicing, timely payments, and smooth billing operations that support our attorneys and clients.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the billing process using Clio billing software.

Prepare, review, and send out client invoices accurately and on schedule.

Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.

Respond to client billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies quickly.

Maintain organized and accurate billing records and client account data.

Collaborate with attorneys and staff to confirm time entries and expense tracking.

Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and improve efficiency.

Support process improvements and implement billing best practices.

Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines, firm policies, and legal regulations.

Train and assist staff on Clio billing features and billing procedures.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a Billing Specialist, preferably in a law firm or legal environment.

Strong knowledge of Clio billing software (required).

Familiarity with legal billing procedures and law firm operations.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
