Paralegal Position- Litigation Team (Medical Malpractice)

-NORTH PALM BEACH

Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our litigation team. This role is ideal for an experienced, highly organized paralegal who understands the complexities of medical malpractice cases and can take ownership of cases from pre-suit through trial.

What You’ll Do

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of medical malpractice cases, from pre-suit through trial.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
• Draft and coordinate discovery requests and responses, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
• Obtain, organize, review, and summarize medical records, billing records, and other case-related documentation.
• Prepare medical chronologies, case summaries, timelines, and other materials to assist attorneys with case evaluation and strategy.
• Assist with identifying, retaining, and coordinating medical and other expert witnesses.
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and litigation vendors regarding case-related matters.
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, inspections, and other litigation events.
• Track discovery, court deadlines, expert deadlines, and other critical case milestones.
• Prepare deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial materials, including exhibits and case files.
• Maintain organized electronic case files and ensure the case management system is accurate and up to date.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including witness and exhibit organization, subpoenas, demonstratives, and trial materials.
• Proactively monitor assigned cases and follow up on outstanding records, discovery, expert materials, and other time-sensitive items.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience; plaintiff-side medical malpractice experience strongly preferred.
• Technology: Proficiency with case management software, Microsoft Office products, and Adobe; Litify experience is a plus.
