Prestigious boutique law firm is seeking an experienced real estate paralegal to join their Fort Lauderdale office.  Candidates with at least five years of closing experience at the paralegal level will be considered.  Very stable firm that rarely hires, position replaces longtime employee that retired.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Reviewing contracts
  • Calendaring deadlines
  • Preparing real estate contracts, closing documents, title commitments and policies, settlement statements and closing disclosure forms
  • Ordering surveys, inspections, and related due diligence research
  • Reviewing title search reports and examining title
  • Coordinating closing details with clients, lenders, realtors and opposing counsel
  • Utilizing closing software and other software applications
  • Coordinating disbursements
  • Preparing demand letters, claims of lien, complaints, affidavits and notices of intent to foreclose
  • Performing detailed property research

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five plus (5+) years of strong real estate paralegal experience
  • Ability to work a closing from start to finish with minimal direction
  • Title experience
  • Able to work from contract to closing with minimal assistance
  • Strong computer proficiency with experience in Microsoft Office and closing software
  • Keen ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
