AmLaw 100 firm seeks a department attorney for its Subrogation & Recovery Department in the Miami office. Come work at a highly-regarded National firm in a 9-5 role without the pressure of billable hours!
Responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating and handling large property claims including coordinating the investigation, retention and management of experts
- Identifying potential theories of liability
- Client reporting
The role is primarily to triage large losses, closing those that are nonviable with client approval, and identifying claims with an appropriate factual and legal basis for pursuit of recovery. The attorney will also be responsible for litigating subrogation claims. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of four years of experience handling insurance claims, construction claims, or commercial litigation. Excellent interpersonal, research and writing skills, and a license in good standing in the State of Florida. South Carolina license a plus. This is an off-track position with a 40 hour/week schedule.
