TRUSTS & ESTATES / PROBATE ATTORNEY
Miami, Florida | Full-Time
A growing Miami law firm is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates / Probate Attorney to join its expanding estate planning and probate practice.
The attorney will work directly with individuals and families on estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate matters, and related guardianship matters.
Responsibilities
- Counsel clients on estate planning and wealth-transfer strategies
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related estate planning documents
- Establish and advise on revocable and irrevocable trusts
- Handle probate and estate administration matters
- Advise trustees, personal representatives, beneficiaries, and family members
- Assist with trust administration and asset distribution
- Handle or assist with probate disputes and litigation
- Advise on asset protection and business succession planning
- Handle guardianship matters as appropriate
- Maintain direct communication with clients throughout planning and administration matters
Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar membership
- Experience in Trusts & Estates, Estate Planning and/or Probate
- Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills
- Experience with wills, trusts, and probate administration
- Ability to independently manage client matters
- Excellent communication and client-service skills
- Experience with sophisticated estate planning is a plus
- Probate litigation, guardianship, real estate, tax planning, or business succession experience is a plus
